18year Old herdsman faces 2 years sentence in Ekiti

The chief magistrate court of Ekiti state, sentenced Mr Haruna Ali an 18yr old herdsman for unlawful grazing of cows in someone's farm at Ado-Ekiti. On 22nd of Jan 2016 Mr Haruna was arraigned before the Magistrate on a two-count charge of willful and unlawful damage of farm crops at Ago  Aduloju in Ado Ekiti. After initial hearing the case has today the 19th of september 2016 been adjourned.

The Magistrate while delivering judgement ordered  that the judgement should run simultaneously, further explaining that the term is minimal because he had committed the offence before the grazing law was effected.
