Fresh admission requisite by JAMB.




Mr Ishaq Oleyede the Registrar of the joint Admission and Matriculation board on Friday listed 8 conditions to be observed by tertiary institutions during the course of admission. Speaking at Baze university, Abuja he said the difference of this year's admission is in the new policy of not writing Posts UTME.

He said that JAMB will not allow acts of impulse rather than reason by institutions in granting admission and added that the rights of Senate or academic board of institutions on admitting candidates will be on these conditions:

1. Guideline stipulated by proprietors of institutions .

2. 60/40 science/art ratio for conventional universities.

3. 70/30 technology/non technology  ratio for national diploma awarding institutions.

4. 80/20 science/art ratio for non conventional universities.

5. Use of the 2016 JAMB , UTME print out results for all candidates.

6. Adherence to published subject combination of courses as specified by the Senate/ academic board and included in the 2016 JAMB  brochure.

7. Adherence to 2016  admission quota  as prescribed by regulatory bodies (NUC,NBTE,NCCE)

8. The quota stipulated by the federal Executive council concerning merits, catchment and educationally less developed states, should be complied with. (For Federal universities)
