Erica Hart was diagnosed with breast cancer 2years ago but defeated it. To create visibility and create awareness for women battling with or have defeated breast cancer she went for this year's Afropunk festival in Brooklyn showing her bare breast with mastectomy scars.
Erica who is 30yrs of age lost her mum to breast cancer at age 13. In reply to her reasons for going topless she said she wants people to see breast cancer survivors not only as warriors but also sexy.
