Leroy Brahm, a 33-year-old from Pennsylvania, has been found guilty of aggravated assault, first-degree murder, and other charges in connection with the death of his girlfriend, 21-year-old Annabel Rose Meenan.
Meenan was discovered unconscious in their mobile home on December 4, 2021, and later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The investigation revealed evidence of extensive physical abuse inflicted by Brahm, including video footage capturing his violent attacks on Meenan leading up to her death.
Deputy District Attorney Kate Wright argued during the trial that Brahm's jealousy over Meenan's relationship with another man fueled the abuse.
Brahm's defense claimed her death was caused by a combination of cocaine use and consensual rough sex, but the prosecution successfully argued that the beatings were the primary cause.
District Attorney Christopher L. de Barrena-Sarobe stated that Brahm's actions were "unfathomable, brutal, and systematic," leading to his conviction on all charges. Brahm faces life imprisonment without the possibility of release, with the sentencing to be determined at a later date.
