61 People Kidnapped In Yet Another Kaduna Attack!
A recent article reported a horrifying incident in Buda, a community in Kaduna State, Nigeria. Terrorists attacked the area late Monday night, abducting at least 61 people. According to residents, the attackers arrived in large numbers, shooting indiscriminately as they kidnapped residents, including women, children, and even a nursing mother.
Premium Times reported that one resident, Dauda Kajuru, described the terror of the event, mentioning that the swift response of soldiers prevented even more people from being taken. However, the absence of a key army commander may have contributed to the terrorists' ability to operate unchecked.
This attack is particularly alarming as it follows closely on the heels of another abduction just days prior, where over 287 schoolchildren were taken from a public school in Kuriga, also in Kaduna State. Unfortunately, the victims of the Kuriga attack remain with their abductors in the forest.
Despite these alarming incidents, the Kaduna State Government has not issued a statement regarding the latest attack in Buda. Attempts to reach government officials, including the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs and the police spokesperson, have been unsuccessful.
These incidents highlight the urgent need for enhanced security measures in the region and prompt action from authorities to ensure the safety of residents.
