Federal Government Of Nigeria Scheduled to Begin Food Distribution This Week!

 The Federal Government has declared that this week will mark the start of President Bola Tinubu's 42,000 metric tonne grain distribution program among the 36 federal states.

Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, announced this on Monday via a post on his official X account, which is Twitter. He stated that 58,500 metric tonnes of milled rice from large rice millers will be made available to the public in addition to the grains.

The Minister stated, “We shall commence the distribution of 42,000 metric tons of grains, as approved by Mr. President, across the 36 states of the federation as one of the programs to be rolled out this week.”

To ensure the grain is distributed efficiently, Senator Kyari stressed that key agencies work together to distribute it.

“We are working hand-in-hand with NEMA and the DSS to ensure that the grains get to the right people in the right packages and quantities,” the minister said.

He assured Nigerians that the government is working towards a more secure and prosperous future for everyone, urging them not to give up on the Tinubu-led administration.
