Nigerian Police Gives N1.5 Billion To Families Of Deceased Officers.

 The beneficiaries and families of the fallen officers of the Nigerian Police Force have received a cheque for N1.594,625,151.66 from Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun.

The paychecks were given to 727 beneficiaries, who were the families of fallen policemen who passed away in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023, at the Nigeria Police Force headquarters in Abuja.

They were ordered by the IGP to spend the funds for the benefit of the officers' departed families.

Since assuming his position as inspector general of police, he claimed that this is the fifth batch of checks to be distributed.

An analysis of the distribution revealed that 311 beneficiaries of group life insurance received payments totaling almost N55 million.

Additionally, N761 million is paid to 178 recipients as the remaining sum for life insurance.
