Nigeria's Inflation Level Peaks To 31%!

 According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the headline inflation rate in Nigeria has grown to 31.70% from 29.90% in January 2024. This indicates that inflationary pressure in the country has continued to rise.

This suggests that the average price level increased at a faster rate in February 2024 than it did in January 2024.


When compared to the headline inflation rate from January 2024, the inflation rate for February 2024 increased by 1.80% points.

In February 2023, the headline inflation rate was 9.79% points higher than the rate of 21.91% on a year-over-year basis.

The headline inflation rate rose in February 2024 compared to the same month the year before (February 2023), according to the most recent NBS data, which was made public on Friday.

The headline inflation rate for February 2024 was 3.12% on a month-over-month basis, which was 0.48% higher than the figure for January 2024 (2.64%).
