66 Suspected Cultists Arrested In Plateau State.

Sixty-six people were arrested by the Plateau Police Command for allegedly belonging to the Sara-Suka cult, which is terrorizing people in the state.

The individuals were apprehended at various locations during the Sallah celebration, according to state Commissioner of Police Hassan Yabanet, who made this revelation while presenting the suspects at the command headquarters in Jos. Weapons were also found on the suspects.


He continued by saying that the command was working around the clock to safeguard the inhabitants' lives and property.

He stated, “I wish to most graciously announce to you that the Eid-El-Fitr celebration in the state was peaceful and devoid of any rancor or attack on worshippers. 

“Gentlemen of the press, I wish to inform you that our strategic deployment paid off, as a total of seventy-six (66) suspects were arrested at different locations within the state, and the following exhibits were recovered from them; Fourteen (14) machetes Eight (8) daggers Large quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp Six (6) tricycles Four (4) motorcycles and a bottle containing illicit substances. Meanwhile, all the suspects are undergoing interrogation and will be charged to court soonest”.

The commissioner went on saying, “I wish to state emphatically that the Plateau State Police Command under my leadership will not tolerate any form of lawlessness.

“Parents and guardians are therefore enjoined to pay close attention to their children and wards as no lawbreaker will be spared. Gentlemen of the Press, your continuous support for the Nigeria Police Force cannot be over-emphasized.”
