A Nigerian Man Fatally Stabs His Flatmate In Portugal!
After a fight, a 24-year-old Nigerian man, whose name is still unknown, is said to have killed his flatmate, 22, in Portugal.
The incident happened on Friday, April 19, 2024, at approximately 11 p.m. Information surfaced indicating that the deceased and the alleged murderer shared a small lodging on Rua do Bonfim in Porto.
A violent altercation between the two Nigerians resulted in multiple sharp object strikes to his partner, as reported by the Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Noticias, JN.
The murderer attempted to flee after leaving the body in the room for several hours, but the PSP ultimately caught him.
Investigating after being called to the scene is the Judiciary Police.
Ângela Bragança, who works at "Angel Coffee," a business located across the street from the crime scene, discovered the body on Saturday morning when she got to work.
She said “I came by bus, half past seven, I crossed the zebra crossing and saw the body inside the accommodation, already closed, on the floor. It was the only thing I saw. What caught my attention was the rubbish bin being out of place.”
Angela admitted to JN that she didn't know the perpetrator or the victim.
“I know that yesterday, I helped two young men who entered the hostel, but I don't know if they are the ones. As a rule, local accommodation customers come here because this is a cafe that opens early and closes late, but there has never been anything like this.”
