Central Bank of Nigeria's Recent Workforce Changes And Layoffs!

As part of the ongoing reorganization of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Yemi Cardodo, the governor, has fired a new group of forty employees, most of whom were from the Development Finance Department (DFD).

Daily Trust claims that the majority of those impacted were deputy directors and assistant directors, with 22 coming from the DFD and the remaining 18 from the Department of Medicals and Procurement Services.

Eight directors, ten deputy directors, five assistant directors, two major managers, and two senior managers were among those impacted.

In what seems to be a succession of actions by the Olayemi Cardoso-led Board of Governors, the number of affected workers has now reached 67 with the most recent update.

It should be recalled that the first round of dismissals at the Central Bank of Nigeria touched at least 27 employees, the majority of whom were directors.
