Container Vs Car Accident Kills Lady In Lagos!
Today, April 12, a fully loaded 40-foot Mack articulated truck collided with a Nissan car (ABJ 692 BG), instantly killing the woman at the back of the vehicle. The driver of the car, assisted by officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) at N.N.P.C. inward Estate, Alapere, Lagos, escaped unharmed.
In a statement made public, LASTMA's Director of Public Affairs and Education, Mr. Adebayo Taofiq, verified that the driver of the Mack articulated truck with his motor boy fled the scene of the tragic collision as soon as it happened.
According to him, initial inquiries showed that the driver of the Mack articulated 40-foot fully loaded container lost control due to a failed brake while traveling at a high speed and collided with a Nissan automobile being driven by N.N.P.C. inward Alapere, Ogudu, along the Lagos-Ibadan Motorway, Lagos.
The woman's lifeless body was removed and given to police officers from the Alapere Police Station.
