Federal High Court, Lagos, Sentenced To 6 Months In Prison...
Cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, was sentenced to six months in prison without the possibility of a fine by Federal High Court Judge Abimbola Awogboro in Lagos. The verdict was delivered on Friday the 12th.
Remember that Bobrisky was charged on six counts by the EFCC on April 5th, ranging from money laundering to abuse of the Naira. But after he admitted to the wrongdoing, the court dropped the accusations of money laundering and found him guilty of Naira abuse. The court further mandated that he be kept in the custody of the EFCC in Lagos.
Subsequently, the judge postponed the case's hearing until April 9. The public holiday for Eid-Fitri, which falls from April 9 to April 11, prevented the court from convening.
