Student Involved In Viral Bullying Video Tenders An Apology.

Mariam Hassan, the perpetrator of a horrific bullying episode involving kids from Lead British International School in Abuja that went viral, has expressed her sincere regret to both the victim and the public.

The event, attracted a lot of attention after the video of Mariam harassing Namtira Bwala, a fellow student, appeared online. On Tuesday, the video went viral on social media, inspiring demands for justice and accountability.

On Tuesday, April 23, Mariam Hassan did, however, make an appearance in a video that was posted by social media user @SarkinMota_AMF, apologizing for her acts.

Mariam apologized in writing to the public and to her fellow students, expressing her sincere regret for what had happened.

Mariam gave the following statement: “My name is Mariam Hassan, and I am sincerely sorry for what I did to Namtira. I am also apologizing to you people outside. I am sincerely sorry, I wish this never happened.”

The administration of the school confirmed in a statement released on Tuesday that an inquiry into the bullying incident was in progress.
