Tanker Explosion Kills Lots Of People In Rivers State!

A tanker carrying petroleum products caught fire on Friday night, April 26, along the Eleme axis of the East-West motorway in Rivers state, possibly killing up to 100 people.

Reports state that the explosion happened when the tanker was travelling on the run-down road and was struck by another large vehicle, which caused flames and an explosion. The subsequent fire quickly spread to many other cars on the route, trapping the occupants and preventing them from escaping.

While several people are said to have escaped their cars as the fire spread, others may not have been as fortunate.

It is unknown how much damage the fire caused in its entirety and how many people died. Because of the dangerous circumstances along the Eleme axis of the East-West road, concerned locals have repeatedly protested and demanded immediate repairs.
