A Vomiting Bug Sickens Atleast 70 People Aboard A Flight From Mauritius To Frankfurt.

Midway through their trip from Mauritius to Frankfurt, some seventy passengers began to vomit.

Mail Online reports that on Thursday, May 2, Condor airline Flight DE2315 was en route from Mauritius to Frankfurt when it became apparent that a large number of the passengers were afflicted with the virus.

At approximately 5:33 p.m., the aeroplane touched down in the German city, to the welcome of a sizable number of emergency services.

The crew had made a preemptive contact to inform ground officials of the emergency situation.

Seventy of the two hundred and ninety-nine individuals on board reported experiencing acute symptoms, such as nausea and vomiting.

The nation's Bild tabloid received confirmation of the occurrence from a German airline representative, who also stated that the crew was unaffected by the illness.

‘After carefully examining the overall situation, the flight continued. The aircraft landed safely in Frankfurt, where medical professionals were available to care for the affected guests.’

The airline stated that the food served on board would have been cooked in Mauritius, but it did not clarify the reason for the sudden illness.

The spokesperson added, 'Condor has already initiated an investigation into the case to get to the bottom of the cause and to derive possible measures from it.'

'Condor is working closely with all responsible partners and authorities. There is currently no result available.

'We generally do not participate in speculation about the cause, for example about individual menus on board that were prepared in Mauritius.'
