According To US Intelligence, China And Russia Are Planning A Coordinated Attack of Taiwan.
US intelligence agencies have stated that China and Russia are collaborating to launch an invasion of Taiwan.
Avril Haines, the Director of US National Intelligence, told the US Congress on Thursday that "we see China and Russia, for the first time, exercising together in relation to Taiwan and recognizing that this is a place where China definitely wants Russia to be working with them, and we see no reason why they wouldn't."
Lieutenant General Jeffrey Kruse reiterated her caution about possible cooperation between the nations on Taiwan, which China has always claimed as its own territory to be taken by force if necessary.
Senator Mike Rounds, a Republican, brought up the possibility of a combined invasion of Taiwan during the Senate Armed Services Committee meeting. He questioned the director of the Defence Intelligence Agency about the Pentagon's preparations in the event of an invasion.
According to Haines, Russia and China appear to be "increasing cooperation in the "no-limits" partnership."
This coincides with the expectation that, as part of China's efforts to mend its diplomatic ties, President Xi Jinping will travel to Europe for the first time next week.
