Cocaine, Amphetamine, And Cannabis Hidden In Petrol Cylinders Discovered And Seized By The NDLEA.

On Wednesday, May 15, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), which is affiliated with a courier company in Lagos, seized two packages that included cocaine and amphetamine hidden inside steel bolts and shea butter.




A shipment of amphetamine, wrapped in vape pens and buried in shea butter, was headed for the United Kingdom, while the 587 grams of cocaine were hidden in eight steel bolt screws bound for China.

The agency's spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, reports that on Thursday, May 16, a logistic company in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, thwarted an attempt by Emeka Nwadiaro, also known as Mega, to export 3.6 kg of Loud, a strain of cannabis hidden in 36 water flasks, to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. A quick follow-up operation resulted in the owner's arrest.

A Mercedes-Benz bus carrying 840 kg of cannabis was stopped by NDLEA agents in Lagos, and the driver, Samuel Henry, was taken into custody at Olojo in Ojo LGA, Lagos. Lawal Adam, another suspect, was apprehended on Friday, May 17, along Otukpo Road in Aliade, Benue state, with 75,000 pills of opioids, including tramadol and exol-5. Two suspects, Olisa Etisi, 32, and Jonathan Umeh, 25, were taken into custody along the Owerri-Onitsha route in Imo state when NDLEA agents found a large petrol canister that was hiding six blocks of Loud, a 3.85 kilogramme strain of cannabis.
