Iran's Foreign Minister, President, And 7 Other People Died In A Helicopter Crash.

At the age of 63, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi passed away in a helicopter crash. Citing information from Iranian news sources, CNN verified his passing.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the foreign minister, was one of the seven people who died in the crash, the report said.

As we previously reported, Raisi was visiting a northern region when his helicopter experienced a hard landing. It is still unknown how he is doing.

His passing occurs just after a tense period in Middle East history, with conflict raging in Gaza.
