St. Alphonsus Catholic Church's Security Guard Stabs And Kills An Only Son...!

Following the death of a teenage churchgoer by stabbing, members of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Nkpor Uno in the Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, are requesting justice.

Around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, the unidentified adolescent was allegedly stabbed inside the church grounds by David Isaac, a security guard employed by the church who is from Akpa, Kogi State.

Members of the congregation were seen criticizing the church for hiring the security guard in an internet video.

“How can a priest invite a Fulani herdsmen to the church and he killed an only son in the church,” following the stabbing, a man capturing the incident was heard stating.

“How can Catholic Church call Fulani herdsmen to be a security in church and he killed an only son?” another voice is heard saying before adding, “Look at the blood on the floor.”

Members of the church said that they heard noise coming from the chapel area while they were inside the building. Upon arriving, they discovered that the adolescent participant had a dagger puncture and was bleeding.

Although the boy stated he and the girl were praying, the security guard claimed he witnessed the boy in the chapel in a compromising situation with a girl. After a fight over this, the guard stabbed the boy. As he was being taken to the hospital, he bled to death.

David, the security guard, stated that he was assigned to the Catholic Church and is employed by Diamond Security, a private security firm, in remarks made after the teen's murder.

According to him, he witnessed the boy and girl engaging in sexual activity in the chapel while on patrol around the church.

And the child dared him to go outside and fight, so in self-defense, he stabbed the boy in the stomach.
