At Least 7 Killed In an Alleged Terrorist Attack in Shiroro, Niger State.

Suspected terrorists have carried out a new attack on towns in Niger State's Shiroro Local Government Area, killing at least seven people.

On Saturday, June 8, 2024, Daily Trust learned that the attackers beheaded two of the victims, Kabiru Salihu and Abubakar Karaga.

Lanta, Bassa, Kasimani, Unguwan-Madi, and Makuda were among the villages attacked between Thursday and Friday. It is stated that homes and domestic animals were set on fire in these attacks.
A source who wished to remain anonymous cited security concerns as the reason for their statement: "Boko Haram claimed the lives of seven individuals in Bassa overall."

He claimed that as more communities were targeted on a daily basis, the humanitarian situation in the Erena camp had gotten worse.
