Flag of Authority Raised in Aminu Ado Bayero's Nassarawa Mini Palace.

Traditional and official flags have been raised at the Nassarawa mini palace, which is being occupied by Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, during the emirate rivalry.

According to DAILY POST, when the flag is raised, it denotes the presence of an emir and is a display of power.

Every day, it is typically raised by 6 a.m. and brought down by 6 p.m. It stays in place until the emir leaves the palace or goes on his official business.

The iron rod was used to erect the flag early on Wednesday morning, but it was hauled out later in the evening. It was finally raised on Thursday morning around six a.m.

Clutching at the Kano Emirate throne, the two emirs, Aminu Ado Bayero and Muhammadu Sanusi II, continue to observe and perform all customary rites in their respective palaces.
