Naked 52 Year Old Man with Machete Attacks and Cuts Off Victim's Hand...

With a machete, a naked Florida man cut off another man's hand and then informed police that he intended to kill the man.

After receiving a 911 call, officers in Miami Gardens found the victim at 4 a.m. on Monday, June 3, with a severed hand and heavy bleeding from his head, according to a police report that WPLG was able to get.

Nearby, a machete covered with blood was discovered.

Witnesses said to the police that around the time of the incident, Rhyant was seen running away from the gruesome scene while fully nude.

After the victim identified his attacker, police located Tyrone Arthur Rhyant, 54, relaxing on a nearby sofa, according to the report.

Although they withheld a motive, the police did reveal that Rhyant's estranged wife, who is subject to a restraining order, resides nearby.

"Is he dead?" Rhyant of Opa-Locka reportedly said to the police, "I tried to kill him," while he was being taken into custody, according to the TV station.

For medical attention, the victim was brought to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital.

Rhyant is accused with domestic abuse and injunction violations in addition to attempted murder that results in injury. The Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Centre is holding him without bond.
