NLC Puts A Halt on Nationwide Strike.

The statewide strike has been halted by the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

This will allow the tripartite committee on the new national minimum wage to meet uninterrupted.

TUC chairman Festus Osifo reaffirmed this on Tuesday.

Following a meeting on Monday with George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), and other government representatives, labour leaders resolved that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was committed to a minimum wage increase beyond N60,000.
