Bandits Raid Kaduna State Community, Kidnap Several and Set Fire to Property.

Early on Wednesday morning, bandits broke into the Akwando community in Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State, and kidnapped an unidentified number of persons. During the hours-long raid, the robbers also set fire to two stores and a dwelling.
Three individuals who were injured in varying degrees during the attack were reportedly receiving treatment, a source told DAILY POST. The source clarified, “The bandits came in their large numbers, attacked the community some minutes after midnight. The attack was carried out from the market downward to other houses in the community. Many people were kidnapped by the terrorists; about three others were injured and are receiving treatment in a hospital. They also burnt one house and two shops during their attack.”

The terrorists, he said, were at work for hours, and he had no idea how many people had been kidnapped in the neighborhood. Mansir Hasan, the spokesperson for the police command, did not pick up calls, therefore all attempts to contact him were unsuccessful.
