Largest Drug Bust in Benue State's NDLEA Command History.

The largest drug bust in the Benue State command's history, according to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), involved a substance thought to be cocaine.
According to a statement from NDLEA Assistant State Commander, Media/Advocacy Phillemon Saror, 350 grams of suspected cocaine were hidden within an MP3 speaker. It was taken from a man who was 25 years old.

Saror added that the Otukpo Area Command made the arrest on Thursday at roughly ten in the morning as part of a well-planned ambush in a follow-up operation. “There was an interception of a waybill at the NDLEA checkpoint along Enugu road, Otukpo; a diligent stop and search operation was carried out resulting in the highest seizure of cocaine in the history of Benue State Command weighing 350 grams in an MP3 speaker."

“The suspect is a male aged 25 years. The suspect is in custody under investigation awaiting prosecution in court. Arrest was made on Thursday, July 4, 2024,” he stated.
