NNPC Limited Announces Hiring Amid Ongoing Industry Dispute

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has announced the commencement of a new hiring campaign starting on July 25, 2024.
Olufemi Soneye, a spokesman for the company, disclosed this on Friday via his official X account. He mentioned that the company has several open positions across various departments.

He stated that interested candidates can apply through the company’s official website.

“NNPC Ltd is pleased to announce that we are currently hiring for multiple positions across various departments.

“We are seeking talented and dedicated individuals to join our team. Visit our careers page for application instructions,” Soneye said.

This latest hiring initiative coincides with the ongoing conflict involving the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NNPCL, and the Dangote Group.

Recall that Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group, alleged that NNPCL executives owned blending factories in Malta, leading to Nigeria's importation of petroleum products from Malta.

In response, Mele Kyari, the Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL Group, refuted Dangote's claim, emphasizing that no official from the company owns a refinery in Malta.
