ECOWAS Chiefs of Defence Staff Meeting in Abuja

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Chiefs of Defence Staff are convening at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.

General Christopher Musa, head of the ECOWAS Committee of Chiefs of Defence Staff and chief of staff for Nigeria, is presiding over the meeting.

In attendance are Ahmed Lawan, chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence; Yusuf Tuggar, minister of foreign affairs; and Mohammed Badaru, minister of defense.

Also present are the Chief of Defence Staff from ECOWAS nations, excluding Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger, as well as representatives of the National Security Advisor and the Chairman of the House Committee on Defence.
