APC Chieftain Urges Patience with President Tinubu's Economic Policies

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a key figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has called on Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu additional time to address the country's economic challenges.

Oyintiloye made this appeal during an interview with reporters on Sunday in Osogbo, emphasizing that with patience, the difficulties currently faced by Nigerians will eventually subside.

He acknowledged that the nation is going through tough times but assured that President Tinubu is not idle, stating that the president is working tirelessly to stabilize and improve the economy.

The APC leader reminded Nigerians that the economic situation was not caused by the president but is the result of pre-existing conditions. He explained that while the president's economic policies may seem tough, they are designed to drive long-term economic growth.

Oyintiloye stressed that Tinubu took office at a time when the economy was in decline, requiring structural adjustments and empathetic leadership. He called on Nigerians to offer their prayers, patience, and support to help the president succeed.

While admitting that the positive effects of Tinubu's policies are still minimal, Oyintiloye noted that early signs of improvement are emerging. He expressed optimism that things would improve as time goes on.

He also highlighted the president's focus on economic diversification and reforms, supporting industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, technology, the maritime sector, and the blue economy.

"Several initiatives are being implemented to improve the business environment, attract foreign direct investment, and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). With a little patience, things will be well again, and Nigeria will rise again," Oyintiloye concluded.
