Diddy's Children Speak Out Following Father's Arrest for Sex Trafficking

Following the arrest of their father on sex trafficking charges, Diddy's children have broken their silence.

On Tuesday night, September 24, four of the rapper's children shared a joint statement on Instagram. The message was signed by Diddy's eldest son Quincy (33), whom he shares with artist Al B. Sure! and later adopted, along with his three children from his late girlfriend Kim Porter—Christian (26) and twins Jessie and D'Lila (17).

Porter, a model and actress, passed away at the age of 47 from lobar pneumonia in November 2018 after experiencing "flu-like symptoms" for several days. She and Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, had an on-again, off-again relationship between 1994 and 2007.

The children addressed allegations about their parents in their statement:

“WE HAVE SEEN SO MANY HURTFUL AND FALSE RUMORS CIRCULATING ABOUT OUR PARENTS, KIM PORTER AND SEAN COMBS' RELATIONSHIP, AS WELL AS ABOUT OUR MOM'S TRAGIC PASSING. WE FEEL THE NEED TO SPEAK OUT.”

They refuted rumours that their mother was a published author:

"CLAIMS THAT OUR MOM WROTE A BOOK ARE SIMPLY UNTRUE. SHE DID NOT, AND ANYONE CLAIMING TO HAVE A MANUSCRIPT IS MISREPRESENTING THEMSELVES. ANY 'FRIEND' SPEAKING ON BEHALF OF OUR MOM OR HER FAMILY IS NOT A FRIEND AND DOES NOT HAVE HER BEST INTERESTS AT HEART."

The statement continued:

“OUR LIVES WERE SHATTERED WHEN WE LOST OUR MOTHER. SHE WAS OUR WORLD, AND NOTHING HAS BEEN THE SAME SINCE HER PASSING.”

Conspiracy theories over Kim's death were also discussed:

“THE CAUSE OF HER DEATH HAS LONG BEEN ESTABLISHED. THERE WAS NO FOUL PLAY. GRIEF IS A LIFELONG PROCESS, AND WE ASK THAT EVERYONE RESPECT OUR REQUEST FOR PEACE AS WE CONTINUE TO COPE WITH HER LOSS EVERY DAY.”

The children voiced how disappointed they were with the way their tragedy was portrayed in public:

“OUR MOTHER SHOULD BE REMEMBERED FOR THE BEAUTIFUL, STRONG, KIND, AND LOVING WOMAN SHE WAS. HER MEMORY SHOULD NOT BE TAINTED BY HORRIFIC CONSPIRACY THEORIES.”

They concluded the statement with a plea for respect:

“WE ASK THAT EVERYONE PLEASE RESPECT OUR MOTHER, KIM PORTER, AND HOLD HER LEGACY IN HIGH REGARD SO THAT SHE MAY REST IN PEACE. IT'S WHAT SHE DESERVES. WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU, MOMMY.”

The statement followed recent claims in a book titled Kim's Lost Words, published on September 6, allegedly containing Porter's journals. The book included shocking allegations about Diddy, including accusations of abuse, secret recordings, and controversial relationships.

Diddy has a total of seven children, including three with Kim Porter, a son named Justin (30), and two daughters Chance (18) and Love (23 months), from other relationships.
