DSS Raids SERAP Abuja office

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) office in Abuja has been occupied by agents of the Department of State Services (DSS), as revealed in a post on SERAP’s official X account on Monday.

According to the post, the officers reportedly demanded to see the directors of the rights group. The statement read: “Officers from Nigeria’s State Security Service (SSS) are presently unlawfully occupying SERAP’s office in Abuja, asking to see our directors.”

SERAP has urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene and stop what they describe as harassment and intimidation by the security forces. “President Tinubu must immediately direct the SSS to end the harassment, intimidation, and attack on the rights of Nigerians,” the statement continued.

According to DAILY POST, this is in response to the rights group's request that President Tinubu order the National Petroleum Company Limited, or NNPCL, to promptly revoke the ridiculous premium motor spirit (PMS) pump pricing.
