Federal High Court Grants Bail to Ten Protesters Accused of Attempting to Overthrow Tinubu’s Government

Ten protesters from the #endbadgovernance# movement were granted bail of N10 million each by the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday. The protesters were accused of attempting to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu between July 1 and August 4 of this year.

Justice Emeka Nwite, in granting their bail requests, recognized the accused as being on bond. The bail conditions include providing one surety in the same amount, with the sureties being residents and property owners in Abuja. The sureties are also required to swear an affidavit of means and present property documents to the court.

The defendants and their sureties must deposit their international passports along with three recent passport photographs with the court. While granting bail, Judge Nwite ordered that the accused must refrain from attending any public demonstrations during their trial.

The accused include Adeyemi Abiodun Abayomi, Suleiman Yakubu, Michael Tobiloba Adaramoye, Buhari Lawal, Mosiu Sadiq, Bashir Bello, Nurudeen Khamis, and Abduldalam Zubair.
