Five Police Officers Killed, 11 Injured in Tragic Car Accident on Zaria-Kano Road

A tragic car accident on Tuesday claimed the lives of five police officers who were returning from a special assignment in Edo State, while eleven others sustained injuries. The accident occurred on the Zaria-Kano road.

The incident was confirmed by SP Abdullahi Haruna, the Public Relations Officer of the Command. He stated, "The accident occurred at Karfi, a few kilometers from Kano. Five officers died as a result of the accident, while 11 others sustained injuries."

Haruna further explained that the injured officers are receiving medical care at a hospital in Kano.

According to reports, the accident happened when the police officers' vehicle collided head-on with a caravan.
