NAFDAC Investigates Christ Mercy Land Church for Selling Unregistered Miracle Products
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has launched an investigation into the sale of miracle water and soap at Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, led by Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin. NAFDAC accused the church of misleading the public by falsely associating its products with the agency.
In a statement released on Sunday, and signed by Director General Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, NAFDAC clarified that none of the products being advertised and sold by the church are registered with the agency.
“NAFDAC wishes to alert the public on the activities of a faith-based organization – Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries – that uses NAFDAC’s name to deceive the unsuspecting public,” the statement read.
NAFDAC reported that it had received numerous petitions from concerned citizens about Senior Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin of Christ Mercy Land Deliverance Ministries, located at Km 5 Effurun, Sapele Road, Delta State. The petitions involved claims made by the ministry about the healing properties of its Miracle Water and Miracle Soap, which were being advertised on social media with promises of healing conditions such as barrenness.
Prophet Fufeyin was reportedly seen on social media claiming that the Miracle Soap was NAFDAC registered and could help women conceive twins, prompting the public to visit NAFDAC offices for verification.
The petitioners also submitted several products from the ministry to NAFDAC for verification of the claims, including Miracle & Healing Water, River Jordan Water, the Miracle Water from The Pool of Bethsaida, A New Beginning Mount Camel Miracle Water, Water of Life, Miracle Water from The Pool of Bethsaida (1L), A New Beginning Pool of Bethsaida Water, and Father Smelled Perfume.
