Nigerian Security Forces Kill Infamous Bandit Leader Kachalla Makore

Nigerian security forces have reportedly killed notorious bandit leader Kachalla Makore along with several of his fighters. The news was revealed on Wednesday by counterterrorism expert Zagazola Makama in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

The operation took place on Sunday in the Magami area of Gusau Local Government Area in Zamfara State, along the Kwankele road. According to Makama, Makore and his men were on their way to retrieve the body of another bandit leader, Kachalla Sani Black, who had been killed earlier in Dan Sadau, a district in Maru Local Government Area.

Makama reported that Sani Black was neutralized in Magama Mai Rake, a location known to be a hotbed of bandit activity. He added that Kachalla Makore had gained power following the death of his predecessor, Kachalla Damuna, and was infamous for his criminal operations in the Kangon Garacci village within the Dan Gulbi area of Maru Local Government.
