VeryDarkMan to Testify Before House of Representatives Over Allegations of Bribery Against EFCC

Social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, is set to testify before the House of Representatives on Monday over bribery allegations involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The controversy began when crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, claimed in an audio clip shared by VeryDarkMan that he had paid N15 million to EFCC agents to have a money laundering investigation against him dismissed.

In the alleged clip, Bobrisky also stated that his godfather arranged accommodations for him during his sentence, claiming that he never actually served his six-month term at Kirikiri Prison in Lagos.

Disturbed by these claims, the House of Representatives summoned EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede, as well as VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky, to aid in the investigation.

Deji Adeyanju, the lawyer representing VeryDarkMan, confirmed that his client would attend the session to assist in the inquiry. "We will be at the National Assembly tomorrow with our client @thatverydarkman to assist in investigations into allegations by Bobrisky that he/she paid N15m to have money laundering charges dropped by EFCC and also bribed prison officials to stay in an apartment," Adeyanju said during a Sunday interview with DAILY POST.
