Factional Dispute in Kwankwasiya Movement: Burning of Red Caps Signals Split from Kwankwaso's Faction"

At the state headquarters, the factional National Chairman of the party oversaw the burning of the iconic red caps worn by members of the Kwankwasiya group, marking a formal declaration of disassociation from Kwankwaso's faction. The action signaled a split within the party, with the chairman emphasizing the group's decision to distance itself from the former leader.

Speaking to the media, the chairman noted that Kano State Governor Kabir Yusuf was expected to appear before the party's disciplinary committee for allegedly disregarding the party's authority and guiding principles.

In response, Mallam Danladi Umar Abdulhamid, the National Chairman of Dr. Agbo's Kwankwasiya Movement in Niger State, criticized the act as illegal and self-serving. He argued that the burning of the red caps served personal interests rather than the public good.

Abdulhamid asserted that under Dr. Ahmed Ajuji's leadership, Kwankwaso remained the party's national leader, dismissing claims of a leadership change within the movement.
