President Tinubu Announces New Ministerial Appointments and Portfolio Changes
On Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu announced the latest ministerial appointments during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, providing a brief introduction for each new minister.
Odinakachukwu Bianca Olivia Odumegwu-Ojukwu: Born on August 5, 1968, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu is a politician, diplomat, attorney, businesswoman, and former beauty queen. She is the widow of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the late Biafran leader. Her beauty pageant accolades include titles such as Miss Africa, Miss Intercontinental, and Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria. In her diplomatic career, she has served as Nigeria's ambassador to Ghana and Spain, and as a presidential advisor. President Tinubu has appointed her as the new Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
Barr. Bello Muhammad Goronyo: Formerly serving as the Minister of State for Water Resources and Sanitation, Barr. Bello Muhammad Goronyo has now been appointed as the Minister of State for Works.
Dr. Morufu Olatunji Alausa: Previously the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Morufu Olatunji Alausa has been named the new Minister of Education.
Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim: Transitioning from her previous role as Minister of State for Police Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim is now the Minister of Women Affairs.
Senator John Owan Enoh: Formerly the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh has taken on the position of Minister of State for Trade and Investment (Industry).
Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite: Previously the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite is now the new Minister of State for Finance.
Ayodele Olawande: Promoted from his previous role as Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande has been appointed as the Minister of Youth Development.
