Former Harris Communications Director Suggests Biden Resign to Make Harris the First Female President as Trump Secures 2024 Election Win
Jamal Simmons, the former communications director for Vice President Kamala Harris, recently suggested that President Joe Biden consider resigning to allow Harris to become the first female president.
In an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union," Simmons said, “Joe Biden’s been a phenomenal president; he’s lived up to so many of the promises he’s made. There’s one promise left that he could fulfill, being a transitional figure. He could resign the presidency in the next 30 days, making Kamala Harris President of the United States.”
On November 8, former U.S. President Donald Trump won the presidential election, defeating Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump secured key swing states, including Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, along with twelve others.
Trump is set to take the oath of office in January 2025, marking his return as the 47th President of the United States.
