Trump Dismisses Rumors of Handing Over Office to Elon Musk

Former US President Donald Trump has rejected the notion that he will hand over the presidency to entrepreneur Elon Musk.

Trump made this statement in Arizona on Sunday, a day after President Joe Biden signed a budget package into law to prevent a government shutdown.

In recent days, Trump and Musk have both voiced public opposition to the bipartisan budget bill crafted by Congress. However, rumors surrounding Musk's potential political aspirations, particularly his influence in Republican circles, have drawn Democratic criticism.

These speculations intensified after Musk reportedly voiced support for Trump following a shooting at one of the former president's events in Pennsylvania. Media outlets also alleged that the tech mogul donated approximately $200 million to a Trump-supporting Political Action Committee (PAC).

Addressing these rumors, Trump categorically denied the claims, stating: “And no, he’s not taking the presidency. He’s not going to be president, that I can tell you. You know why he can’t be? He wasn’t born in this country.”

Trump labeled the rumors a "hoax" and accused his political rivals of spreading the narrative.

The former president's remarks reflect ongoing tensions between the Democratic and Republican parties, as well as growing debates surrounding Musk's political influence and contributions.

While Musk has not publicly expressed any intention to seek the presidency, his involvement in political discourse continues to draw significant attention.
