Adamawa Police Issue Public Notice for Shooting Practice Exercise

The Adamawa State Police Command has notified the public about a scheduled shooting practice exercise. The exercise will be conducted by officers and men of the Command at the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) Base along Mubi Road in the Girei Local Government Area.

According to a statement issued by the Command, the exercise is planned to take place throughout Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

“In view of this, all residents, business owners, motorists, farmers, herders, and the general public are advised to avoid the shooting area,” the statement read.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, who signed the statement, assured the public that all necessary safety and security measures had been put in place to ensure the exercise is conducted without incident.

The Command urged cooperation from the public to maintain safety during the exercise and thanked residents for their understanding.
