EFCC Encourages Nigerians to Embrace Integrity in 2025
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their fight against corruption and avoid corrupt practices in 2025.
Ola Olukoyede, the EFCC chairman, made this call on Tuesday, emphasizing that combating economic and financial crimes requires collective efforts from all citizens.
In his New Year's message, Olukoyede highlighted the importance of anti-corruption initiatives in improving living standards and driving economic development in Nigeria. He urged Nigerians to seize the opportunities presented by the New Year to recommit to principles of transparency, accountability, and integrity.
“We can make any progress and development we want for our nation to happen by our support for anti-corruption initiatives,” he stated. “The commanding heights of the economy and improvement in our lives can only be driven by our dedication to integrity and accountable conduct.”
The EFCC chairman assured citizens of the agency's unwavering commitment to justice, promising that 2025 would see further progress in dismantling corruption.
“Our work is more than a vocation but a patriotic calling. We know this and will always offer our best to move the nation forward. 2025 will be another year of bringing towers of corruption down. Our focus is set, and our commitment is total,” Olukoyede concluded.
