Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf Appoints Key Officials in Kano State
On Monday, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State swore in six permanent secretaries, seven commissioners, and twelve special advisers to strengthen his administration.
The newly appointed commissioners include:
- Dr. Ismail Danmaraya (Commerce)
- Dr. Gaddafi Shehu (Power and Sustainable Energy)
- Dr. Dahiru Hashim (Environment)
- Dr. Abdullahi Waya (Information)
- Dr. Nura Iro Maaji (Public Procurement)
- Shehu Wada Sagagi, a former Chief of Staff (Commissioner, Investment, Commerce, and Industry)
Governor Yusuf emphasized his administration's focus on critical sectors such as human development, road infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, and education in the coming months.
“These areas will see significant government attention,” he remarked, urging the new appointees to uphold integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.
The governor expressed confidence in their ability to contribute towards making Kano State greater, encouraging them to carry out their duties with a deep fear of God and commitment to public service.
