Nathaniel Bassey to Minister at US Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast

Renowned Nigerian gospel musician Nathaniel Bassey will minister at the United States President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural presidential prayer breakfast.

The prayer breakfast, hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner, is scheduled to take place on January 20, 2025, at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria Presidential Ballroom in Washington, DC.

Bassey shared the news on his Instagram account, accompanied by the event poster. He wrote: “Let’s raise a sound in America. See you on January 20, 2025.”

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the US Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast is a non-political, faith-based event held every four years before the inauguration of a new government. It highlights the importance of prayer and worship in offering spiritual support to the US presidency and its administration.

Ahead of the swearing-in of President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance, the event will feature notable speakers, including Pastor Mario Bramnick and Dr. Alveda King.
