NYSC Dismisses Rumors About Call-Up Numbers and Christmas Carol Claims
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has debunked reports circulating in certain media outlets claiming that prospective corps members who have not received their call-up numbers should visit the State Secretariats of the Scheme.
In a statement signed by Caroline Embu, Acting Director of Information & Public Relations, the NYSC clarified that such information did not originate from the Scheme. The organization advised the public to disregard these false messages.
The NYSC emphasized that all official communication with prospective corps members is conducted exclusively through their dashboards and the Scheme’s verified social media platforms.
“For the avoidance of doubt, all prospective corps members yet to receive their call-up numbers are enjoined to exercise patience, keep checking their dashboards, and also visit the NYSC Social Media Platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, Thread) for updates,” the statement read.
Additionally, the NYSC refuted a recent claim suggesting that about 200 corps members were questioned for failing to participate in a Christmas Carol. The Scheme dismissed the publication as false and urged the public to rely solely on its verified communication channels for accurate information.
