Plateau State Police Command Promotes 104 Officers
The Nigeria Police Force's Plateau State Command has promoted 104 officers to various ranks in recognition of their dedication and outstanding service records. The decoration ceremony, held at the Police Officers' Mess in Jos, was presided over by the State Commissioner of Police, Emmanuel Adesina.
During the event, Adesina emphasized that the promotions align with the vision of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun to enhance police service delivery. He noted that the recognition should serve as motivation for the officers to continue serving with integrity and dedication. “The reward for hard work is more work,” Adesina remarked.
Among the promoted officers is CSP Mathias Tyopev, a former Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) and the current Commander of the Counter-Terrorism Unit in Plateau State.
The breakdown of promotions includes:
- 17 Superintendents of Police (SP) elevated to Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP),
- 10 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) promoted to Superintendents of Police (SP), and
- 77 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) advanced to Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP).
