Prince Abimbola Akeem Owoade Named Alaafin of Oyo

Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of Prince Abimbola Akeem Owoade as the next Alaafin of Oyo State.

The announcement was made on Friday by Prince Dotun Oyelade, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, who spoke on behalf of the governor.

According to Oyelade, Owoade's selection followed extensive deliberations and divinations by the Oyomesi, the traditional council responsible for nominating the Alaafin.

“The governor has approved the name suggested by the Oyomesi after due process,” Oyelade stated.
