Rivers State CP Honours 119 Newly Promoted Offic
The Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, celebrated the promotion of 119 senior officers by the Police Service Commission (PSC) on Thursday.
The ceremony, held at the Police Officers' Mess in Old GRA, Port Harcourt, saw 40 Superintendents elevated to Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs), 21 Deputy Superintendents promoted to Superintendents of Police (SPs), and 58 Assistant Superintendents advanced to Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs).
According to a statement by Grace Iringe-Koko, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, the Deputy Commissioners of Police for SCID, Operations, and Administration assisted in decorating the officers during the event.
Commissioner Adepoju attributed the promotions to the officers’ dedication and professional achievements. He expressed gratitude to the Police Service Commission and Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for supporting the advancement of the officers.
“Every promotion carries more responsibility,” Adepoju remarked, urging the officers to maintain their integrity and contribute meaningfully to the Nigeria Police Force.
Speaking on behalf of the newly promoted officers, CSP Orok Edet pledged to uphold the force’s values and remain committed to their duties.
