James Carville Warns of Potential Collapse in Trump Administration
In an interview with Mediaite founder Dan Abrams, Carville advised Democrats to remain strategic rather than opposing Trump on every issue.
“This whole thing is collapsing,” Carville said, urging Democrats to ‘play possum’ and observe developments instead of reacting aggressively.
He predicted that Trump’s public approval would continue to decline rapidly.
Carville pointed to recent polling data showing a drop in Trump’s approval rating from the low 50s to the upper 40s.
Despite this, Trump dismissed concerns about his popularity during his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Saturday, stating that Americans were pleased with his leadership in his first month in office.
Multiple polls, including those by Echelon Insight, Gallup, and SurveyUSA, show Trump’s approval ratings ranging between the 40s and 50s for February. Other pollsters, such as Morning Consult, Emerson College, Quinnipiac University, Ipsos/Reuters, YouGov/CBS News, YouGov/The Economist, and RMG Research/Napolitan Institute, have reported similar figures.
As political tensions continue to rise, Carville’s prediction adds to the growing debate over Trump’s political standing and the direction of his administration
