Jibrin Barau Projects Over 558 Young Millionaires in North West Through BoA Recapitalization

Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Jibrin Barau, has expressed optimism that more than 558 young millionaires will emerge across the North West region following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's N1.5 trillion recapitalization of the Bank of Agriculture (BoA).

Barau made this statement during a meeting between his office and the Bank’s management, where a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed, committing N2.79 billion to an agricultural loan program. The funds will be distributed across the seven states and 186 local government councils in the North West geopolitical zone.

According to Barau, President Tinubu has already included the recapitalization in the proposed N54.9 trillion 2025 budget. The senator, who signed the MoU through his foundation, expressed enthusiasm for the loan initiative targeted at young farmers and commended the President for his commitment to transforming Nigerian agriculture.
